Is your child due to start school in September 2026?
<\/strong>
If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022<\/strong>, they can start school in September, and you should have applied for their place by Thursday 15 January.
If you missed the memo, don\u2019t panic, there is still time, and you can apply by visiting www.lbbd.gov.uk\/school-admissions<\/a>.
It\u2019s important to know that getting your child a place at school is not an automatic process, so you still have to apply, even if they are already at a school nursery or they have a brother or sister at that school.

School admissions are managed by London Borough of Barking & Dagenham<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To register your child at our school you will need to either attend the One Stop Shop at Dagenham Heathway or download a form from the LBBD website using the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents will be informed by the local authority that their child has been allocated a place at James Cambell Primary School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents will then be invited for an admissions interview to be held at the school by appointment only. The purpose of the interview is to welcome families and children to the school and to exchange important information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents and children will be given a start date and given the information to purchase a school uniform. A parent pay account will be set up to enable easy payment for school dinners. The child\/family will be shown around the school and where possible, see their class and teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 At James Cambell School we believe that attendance and punctuality are key in ensuring children make rapid and sustained progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
